Odisha Govt Job 2026: Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has released the official recruitment notification for Forester, Forest Guard and Excise Constable posts under CRE-2025 (II).
A total of 1,518 Group ‘C’ vacancies have been announced across the Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department and the Excise Department. Eligible candidates can apply online through www.osssc.gov.in. The last date to submit the online application is 15 February 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification

Age Relaxation
- SC / ST / SEBC / Women: 5 years
- PwDs: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Odisha Government rules
Only one relaxation is allowed, except PwDs under SC/ST/SEBC who get cumulative benefit.
Odia Language Requirement
Candidates must be able to read, write and speak Odia, and must have:
- Passed ME School Exam with Odia, or
- Matric with Odia as medium/non-language subject, or
- Odia as language subject in Class VII or above, or
- Passed Odia test conducted by S&ME Department.
Application Fee
As per Odisha Recruitment Examination Fees & Refund Rules, 2025:

Stage-I: Written Test

Stage-II: Physical Test (PSM & PET)
Physical Efficiency Test
- Forester / Forest Guard
- Male: Walk 25 km in 4 hours
- Female: Walk 16 km in 4 hours
- Excise Constable
- Male: Run 1.6 km in 7 min, Long Jump 3.66 m
- Female: Run 1.6 km in 9 min, Long Jump 2.75 m
