Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university (IDD also accepted).
- Professional degrees (Engineering, CA, CMA, etc.) are eligible.
Experience (as on 31.12.2025)
- Minimum 2 years as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or RRB (as per RBI schedule).
Salary Requirement (for non-PSB/RRB experience)
- Minimum ₹9.50 lakh annual gross salary for each year.
- Proof required: Form-16 / AIS / last 24 months’ pay slips / employer certificate.
Local Language
- Proficiency (read/write/understand) in the opted circle’s local language.
Exclusions
- SBI clerical/supervisory staff, contract staff, subsidiaries’ employees, or those who resigned from SBI officer grade.
CIBIL & Character
- No loan defaults; no adverse character/antecedent reports.

Selection Process
Phase 1: Online Examination
- Objective Test (120 marks, 2 hrs):
- English (30) | Banking Knowledge (40) | GA/Economy (30) | Computer Aptitude (20)
- Descriptive Test (50 marks, 30 mins): Letter & Essay (English)
- No negative marking in objective test.
Phase 2: Screening
- Eligibility & job-profile matching by Screening Committee.
- ~3× candidates (circle & category-wise) shortlisted for interview.
Phase 3: Interview
- 50 marks; minimum qualifying marks required.
Phase 4: Local Language Test
- Exempted if language studied in 10th/12th.
Final Merit
- 75:25 weightage (Online Test : Interview), circle-wise & category-wise.
