School Timings Changed From October 1: Check New Timings for Summer and Winter Zones
Jammu School Timings 2026: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has announced revised school timings for Government and recognized private schools across the Jammu Division.
The new schedule will come into effect from October 1, 2026, and will apply to schools up to the Higher Secondary level.
Under the revised schedule, schools located in the Summer Zone will operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while schools falling under the Winter Zone will function from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The revised timings have been prescribed by the Directorate of School Education Jammu for schools across the division.

Schools falling under the Winter Zone will operate from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
The revised timing will also come into effect from October 1, 2026.
DSEJ Warns Schools Against Violations
The Directorate of School Education Jammu has directed educational institutions to strictly follow the prescribed timings.
The department has also warned that any deviation from the notified school schedule will invite action against the concerned institution under the rules in vogue.
Schools have therefore been advised to ensure compliance with the revised timings from the effective date.
