Indian Air Force Agniveer Recruitment 2026: Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme. Online applications are invited from unmarried Indian male and female candidates for Agniveervayu postsacross technical (Science Subjects) and non-technical (Other than Science Subjects) streams.
The online registration window is open from 12 January 2026 to 08 February 2026 (11:00 PM) at the official portal iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in. The online test is scheduled on 30 & 31 March 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Date of Birth (DOB)
- Born between: 01 January 2006 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive)
- Upper age on enrolment: 21 years
Educational Qualification
Science Subjects
Candidates must have 50% aggregate and 50% in English in any one of the following:
- 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Mathematics & English from a recognised board
- 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/IT/Instrumentation)
- 2-year Vocational Course with Physics & Mathematics as non-vocational subjects
Other Than Science Subjects
Candidates must have 50% aggregate and 50% in English in any one of the following:
- 10+2 (any stream) from a recognised board
- 2-year Vocational Course from a recognised board
Important Rules
- Only boards recognised by Central/State/UT as on the registration date are valid
- No rounding off of marks (e.g., 49.99% = 49%)
- Candidates eligible for Science Subjects may opt for both exams in one sitting

PFT Standards
- PFT-I: 1.6 km run — Male: ≤7 min | Female: ≤8 min

- PFT-II (Female): 10 Sit-ups (1 min 30 sec), 15 Squats (1 min)
Phase III – Medical Examination
- Conducted by Air Force Medical Team (labs, X-ray, ECG, etc.)
- Appeal Medical Board available (₹40)
Final Selection: State-wise merit, medical fitness, vacancy availability, and eligibility.
Medical & General Standards (Key Points)
- Height: Min 152 cm (relaxations for NE/hilly/Lakshadweep)
- Chest: Male 77 cm (5 cm expansion); Female 5 cm expansion
- Vision: 6/12 each eye correctable to 6/6; Colour Vision CP-II
- Tattoos: Restricted locations only; offensive tattoos prohibited
- NDPS: Zero tolerance
- Marital Status: Unmarried only; marriage during service leads to discharge
- Pregnancy Policy: Pregnancy during engagement leads to discharge
- Engagement: 4 years (Air Force Act, 1950)
- Regular Cadre: Up to 25% may be absorbed based on performance
- ESM Status: Not applicable after 4 years
