IOCL Pipelines Division Recruitment 2026 – Full Notification Details

The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released the official notification Advt No. PL/HR/ESTB/APPR (2025)-2 (Supp.) for the recruitment of 394 Apprentices in its Pipelines Division across various regions in India.

Eligible candidates can apply online from 28 January 2026 to 10 February 2026 (11:59 PM IST) through the designated NAPS/NATS portals and the Indian Oil Pipelines application portal. This apprenticeship engagement is governed strictly under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprenticeship Rules (Amended up to 2019 & 2025).

Educational Qualification (Trade-wise)

Technician Apprentice – Mechanical

NCERT Recruitment 2026 Apply Online for 117 Academic Position

  • 3-year full-time Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
  • Lateral entry candidates admitted directly into 2nd year after Class XII (Science) / ITI are eligible

Technician Apprentice – Electrical

  • 3-year full-time Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Lateral entry candidates are eligible

Technician Apprentice – Telecommunication & Instrumentation

  • Diploma in Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics Engineering from a recognized institute

Trade Apprentice – Assistant (Human Resource)

  • Full-time Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) from a recognized university

Trade Apprentice – Accountant

  • Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce

Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices)

  • Minimum 12th pass (must be below graduate level)

Domestic Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders)

  • 12th pass (below graduate level)
  • Skill Certificate issued by an authority recognized under NSQF or Central Government

Essential Qualification Conditions

  • Candidates must have passed the prescribed qualification on or before 31 January 2026
  • Candidates with result awaited are not eligible
  • Minimum 50% marks required (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved posts)
  • Qualifications must be regular full-time (distance/part-time not accepted)
  • Candidates with higher qualifications such as BE/BTech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA etc. are not eligible
  • Candidates with one year or more job experience after qualification are not eligible

Age Limit (as on 31 January 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 24 years

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years
  • PwBD-SC/ST: Additional 5 years
  • PwBD-OBC (NCL): Additional 3 years

IOCL Apprentice Stipend 2026

  • Monthly stipend will be paid as per Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprenticeship Rules (Amended 2019 & 2025)
  • No additional benefits such as HRA, accommodation, medical facilities, or conveyance will be provided
  • Apprentices must arrange accommodation and other facilities on their own

IOCL Pipelines Apprentice Selection Process 2026

  • No written test or interview
  • Selection based purely on merit
  • Merit list prepared based on percentage of marks in essential qualification
  • Tie-breaking rules:
    • Older candidate (earlier date of birth)
    • If still tied, higher marks in Matriculation
  • Document verification before engagement
  • Medical fitness mandatory as per IOCL standards
